Primary Child Visit

Service Description

After you have completed the school tour we want your child to spend some time with us. For Primary students this will be at 9am on a Tuesday or Thursday and last around 30 minutes to gauge their readiness for the classroom. There will not be any formal testing but teachers will do work with them to assess math and reading skills. At the end of the visit you will meet with the teacher for your student's classroom where they will either offer enrollment or discuss further options. We often have children visit for multiple days if there are questions about readiness or if the family is still unsure. We can't wait to meet your child and welcome them to our school! Please note that during the summer break June 1-July 20, 2025, Primary child visits will be scheduled by appointment. If no child visit slots are available on our calendar, please reach out to us at staff@counterpane.org to begin the process of scheduling your child's visit. To help us expedite the process, please include your availability. Thank you for your patience as our staff are also enjoying their vacations during this time and responses may take several days.
